A movie star with a sense of emptiness, and a neglected newlywed meet up as strangers in Tokyo, Japan and form an unlikely bond.
i'm surprised scarlett still makes films considering that she is such a huge part of barack obama's life.

Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette are way better than this. This film is just so pretentious, especially considering Sofia based the blonde Anna Faris (who I love regardless) played on Cameron Diaz. Sofia didn't like the fact that Cameron was always so nice on the set of Being John Malkovich and decided to make fun of her in this film. I'm not a huge fan of Cameron, but I'm sure she's a breath of fresh air compared to most actresses on set.

She's really annoying. And one of the two main characters. I don't think you realise the extent to which she bothers me. The movie has its qualities (read: Bill Murray), but when it can't keep my interest and I definitely wouldn't watch it again, I rate it as loathe.

Yes Shah, when it comes to this, you suck! :) Anyway, she is not the whole movie. How can you loathe it? It can't be just because she annoys you? While I like her, she's definitely not the reason I love this movie, I just think it's really good.

Well, I really like it because I loved the comic, so bear that in mind :) Its a very particular kind of movie, perhaps a little slow for some, but I enjoyed it a lot.

hehe I havent seen it, but now I will. Since you say its a great movie DESPITE her, and I dont mind her, seems to me Ill like it.

Did you see Ghost World? She sucked the house down in that one, and it is such a great movie. Her voice just makes me want to kill myself.

hehe I think she was a "breath of fresh air" in the world of bimbo-actors. (Just to sound completely inane here..)
That was at the time though, she has "bimboed" up pretty good, but I can still stand her. Betamonk said 3 years ago
