Why did it have to be so uncinematic with deliberatly artifical mise-en-scene? This one makes "Grease" seem like Fellini in comparison
The first 30 minutes is incredibly annoying, but luckily it gets a little better. The problem is at they try to translate the stage versions needed energy level to the screen. That and the fact that jokes, dialouge and most of the characters are horrible.
The only thing that makes this watchable is the music, but even that is dissapointing. Most of the songs are in a weak sing-a-long fashion with a generic production.
Stellan, why are you in this? Why??
I forgive you though, don`t worry.
